About The Ulrichs

Marc and Heather Ulrich met in the summer of 1995 at a campground. Several years later we started dating while in college. We got married in 2002. Life has been on fast forward since that day, as our son Shad joined us in 2003 and then Carson was born in 2005. We approach every day as an adventure and believe God has a plan for our lives that is exciting.

Who We Are

We've been in various ministry roles since 2001, from Anderson, IN to St Pete, FL to Battle Creek, MI.  

We moved to Merrillville, IN in June of 2016.  Our purpose goes beyond creating a healthy church, RE.THINK Church; it's to bless our community 3-4 generations from now.  I (Marc) am becoming more and more aware of how inadequate I am to accomplish this on my own.  There are several issues facing our community and I think it's our responsibility and privilege to figure out solutions.

My name is Abby Johnson and I help lead in guest services at RE.THINK.  My role includes hosting and leading the guest service team members who welcome our new visitors. I love serving in leadership because it helps me connect with others in the church and it’s a way I can love on our community and point them to the hope I have found in Jesus.
Fun fact about me - I love cheetahs and growing up I really wanted to be a cheetah conservationist in Africa.

I'm Roland Nightengale.  I love Jesus.  I'm a husband, daddy, and uniquely made...just like everyone else.
At RE.THINK, I do a little bit of everything...really... Because it's what I'm supposed to do.  Jesus placed so many people in my life to get me to where I am today, and it would be a missed opportunity if I didn't help others get to where God wants them to be. 
...A fun fact about myself?  I rap but I'm not a wrapper. 

My name is Mike Zimmer.  I am the Treasurer, and I also make the coffee and assist guest services.  I love doing what I do here, to help others know the joy that Jesus offers.
A fun fact about myself is that I went sky diving when I was 73 years old.

I am Betsy Zimmer.  I do whatever I am called to do at RE.THINK.  I am a Worship Associate, as I work to set the atmosphere visually with backdrops, and window coverings, and through other sensory experiences.  I am also a prayer leader at times during worship, nursery and check-in attendant, and sometimes I am used in an advisory position.  I love and believe fully in the mission of RE.THINK.  I want to be of any service to help others draw closer and into a more mature relationship with Jesus Christ.  
Fun Fact:  I acted, sang, and danced in a musical production (Godspell) all over Indiana, and also as we traveled to the West Coast and back to Indiana when I was in college. 

I am Russell Cole:  Husband, Father, Friend.  My wife and I organize and direct the worship team at RE.THINK.  Singing and playing guitar is a gift that God has helped me cultivate over the years. It’s something I enjoy doing and comes naturally. So it makes sense to me to use that gift for God's glory.
A fun fact about me:  I have a great interest in living a natural lifestyle.  For example, I’m raising chickens!

My name is AunaLisa Cole.  I am a wife to Russell, a mom to two amazing boys and I am learning to be more like Jesus every day.  Russell and I lead worship on Sunday mornings with a great team of singers and musicians.  I truly enjoy worshiping God using instruments and my voice, and it is a privilege to help others connect more deeply with Him through worship music. 
A fun fact about me?  I am a bit of a curly / coily hair enthusiast and enjoy healthy hair care discussions.
